Hello dear Parent,
Based on your history it looks like your young son may soon become
obese and it is absolutely a reason to be concerned. One of the main reasons of weight gain is inappropriate Diet and lack of Exercise.
For Diet: See that he eats in small amounts and chews his food 32 times. His diet should contain around 2000 to 2500 calories per day (considering he has a sedentary lifestyle). Preferably avoid fatty and oily food (eat in limited amount). Drink plenty of water, around 3 litres per day.
For Exercise: Your son breeds to maintain an active lifestyle. Exercise could be anything that could keep our body to be in motion...... like half an hour of brisk walking, to cycling to swimming. I would also recommend
Yoga, its very beneficial.
If the diet and exercise part of his life is proper l, then we will need to evaluate other clinical causes of weight gain like
Hyperthyroidism.
It is of utmost importance to see his mental status.... cause in my experience it may be the root cause of his weight gain. If that is the case then you will have to see that his Self Esteem is built up and for that, if necessary he may be required to be shown to a
Psychiatrist or a Psychiatric Counsellor.
I hope I was able to answer your question. Wishing you and your family good health.
