What Causes Extreme Abdominal Pain During Ovulation?
hello, I have had gruesome period pains almost on the regular since I first got it 12 years ago. I visited a gynecologist in my teens to check for endometriosis and her diagnose was that I had natural causes for my period pain such as lack of exercise, poor diet or stress that caused my pains, and perhaps even genetics, since my mother had the exact same symptoms and period type as me. My question now is do I need to get it double checked? I still have these severe pains, but sometimes they are less and sometimes barely there. The only other pain is during ovulation, which is a little uncomfortable for a little while and on either left or right side of my stomach. And I have also noticed that when I eat well or stress less or exercise regularly, my period improves so much that I sometimes haven t even needed pain killers.
The presence of a mid cycle pain can be due to ovulation- since you are having normal regular periods- or due to endometriosis. If the pain is gradually increasing then it needs proper evaluation to find out the cause. Do consult your gynecologist regarding this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
