What Causes Extreme Fluctuation In Body Temperature?

My husband has been feeling flu like with a high temperature for 3 weeks, he is sweating heavily and is going from feeling boiling hot to freezing cold, but temperature is constantly high. he s now finding it hard to do simple tasks, such as get a drink for himself, he doesn t want to move as he ll get cold. Any advice?

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This bit of an unbelievable history that your husband is suffering so much and you have not consulted a Physician / not taken any medicines , no investigations done.

He needs to be seen by MD Physician for clinical examination , investigations as per findings and treatment as per required.

Blood , urine, stool, ultrasonography of abdomen, X-ray chest . All this as the beginning and other specific tests as per the reports. Further specific tests to be done.
Correct diagnosis only can lead to a proper treatment .
