I have recently 2-8-10 had a vitreous detachment in my right eye. I immediately went to an ophthalmologist. He said I have a large floater.
I have no retina tear.I understand this is a common experience with older people I'm 59.I had no flashes of light just the start of a new floater, then it dissolved. Floaters are as I understand it are basically painless.
Question.....Why do I have a sensation of eye irritation in my eye.At times I can feel my eye lids roll over my cornea , like burning.
I know the mind can play tricks but I know what I feel. Also It fells like there is some kind of pressure or something in the upper corner of my eye
and I even felt it move slowly over time to the lower corner of my eye ,then it disappeared for a couple of days then it came back as today. Can this liquefied vitreous pockets causes these sensations maybe to my eyelid nerve endings or something. My floater is clear type .I just don't know
what these sensations are.I if I didn't know better I swear I can fell these Pockets move inside my eye.....

My eye still feels like it has a irritation ,raw felling. That pressure felling
has moved to the lower corner and stays there.Feels like something is is my eye.
I can see the clearish floaters move across my eye,I can adjust to that, its the irritation I feel
Thanks
