What Causes Fainting Spells And Dizziness?

In the last two years I have suffered with fainting spells and dizziness. I ve been told that i ve lost consciousness for 4mins on some occassions. It feels like a light switch, i black out just like that. Why does that happen? Also when i am seating up it continues to feel like the rooms spinning, i cant think straight , sometimes i cant put a sentence together...does the above mean i suffer with virtigo?

Neurologist, Surgical 's  Response
Hello,

Since you lost consciousness, in my opinion, seizures should be considered and evaluated further, even to exclude them. An EEG and a brain MRI together with an evaluation by your Neurologist are necessary for a correct evaluation. If seizures will be excluded, then it is probable that you suffer from vertigo.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
