General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
The drug citalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
this serotonin is a neuro-transmittor( hormones) that are present in brain.
blocking this may produce dizziness and fainting, when used in normal patients.
i would advise
To stop the drug, and consult your physician to change to other group of drugs for increasing the appetite.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
