I do appreciate your concern regarding to your husband's health. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your husband was a diagnosed with
hypothyroidism.. and now his thyroid profile is with in normal range.. I just want to know that presently, he is taking any medicine for hypothyroidism or not.. Hypothyroidism is affect
metabolism and weight gain is associated with hypothyroidism.. And another thing is
Diabetes.. Have you did fasting Plasma
Glucose test and
Lipid profile any time in past..
Third, Life style is very important factor like if your husband is doing all type of exercise but not loosing weight.. then total calorie intake in a day is also important..Balanced diet is advisable and don't eat large quantity in single meal.. eat healthy balanced diet and frequently... we used to divide meal into 3 major meal and 2 snacks in between..
Fat is not converted to muscle..it is false...Fat is classified into
Brown adipose tissue and
White adipose tissue and now Beige adipose tissue...
