What Causes Fatigue And Blackout After Physical Excertion?

Last week I was working in my yard , became exchausted, blacked out, went to ER, test just showed dehydrated. However, a week later I am still light headed, often dizzy, feeling tired, and get winded and light headed when talking to my clients. I am 69, blood work up shows no issues, but Symptons remain constant. Past heart test show no issues, but think it is still heart related. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query

Based on your symptoms I would like to rule arrhythmia of the heart and anemia

Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
*what is your height and weight?
*what tests were done so far?
*when did you have your heart checked?what tests were done?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
*any past surgeries? Are you male or female?

I recommend :
-a physician consult
-blood tests (complete blood count, peripheral smear, Thyroid stimulating hormone, free t3 and t4,
Electrolyte levels, blood glucose panel, lipid profile, liver and kidney function tests)
-urine analysis
-electrocardiogram and echocardiogram. Holter monitoring if required.
-carotid doppler to check blood supply to the brain
-a CT brain if indicated
-if possible, monitor your blood glucose, heart rate and blood pressure at home whenever you feel tired. Note it down and see your doctor with the values. At home monitors are available in most pharmacies.
-drink plenty of water(if not medically contraindicated). Make sure to drink before you feel thirsty
-have a balanced meal and include sprouts, eggs, milk, whole fresh fruits and vegetables

Based on this, a treatment plan will be made.
Hope this helps.
If you feel dizzy again and pass out, have any chest discomfort, palpitations, pain, breathing difficulty, unexplained sweating or unusual/persistent headaches, see your doctor right away or visit the ER right away.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health.
