General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The most common cause of hoarseness is acute laryngitis (inflammation of the vocal cords) caused most often by an upper respiratory tract infection (usually viral), and less commonly from overuse or misuse of the voice.

I suggest to drink warm drinks, honey and do not speak too much. If you don't feel better to consult with ENT.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
