What Causes Fatigue And Nose Bleeding While Suffering From ADHD?

My son is 11 and has had extreme fatigue and nosebleeds. This coincided with switching his ADHD medication from Focalin 20mg to Intuniv 24hr 2mg to try and increase his appetite. I m not sure the 2 are related as he was taking the Intuniv 2mg along with Focalin 20mg during the school year, but then was just on Focalin for a few weeks before his doctor recommended the Intuniv alone. I have tried reaching his psychiatrist for a week now, but have not heard back. Wondering if the fatigue and nosebleeds could be related or if something else is going on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the fatigue doctor nosebleeds ate not much related to changing the medications. I think the problem may be a vitamin deficiency. He may need to take a small dosage of vitamin C daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
