General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to the side effects. Brintellix(Vortioxetine) is commonly prescribed at low dose & later increased after observing the response of the patient.

The medication should be strictly taken as prescribed, never take overdoses.

Side effects should be immediately reported to the treating doctor so that the medication can be monitored.

The medication is never stopped suddenly but if needed it is gradually stopped by reducing the dose. Sudden stoppage will result in worsening of symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
