What Causes Feeling Like Bone Is Stuck In Throat Near Adam's Apple?
Hello, today during lunch I felt like I may have swallowed a small bone when eating some chicken. I felt a slight, sudden, sharp pain, but I think it may have went down. Since then I was able to continue my meal and swallow without difficulty. I do not have any difficulty breathing since then as well. But I feel like the bone or something is still stuck in the upper right side of my throat near the Adam's apple. I am wondering if this is is most likely the sensation of an abrasion of the esophagus. I have tried to drink a plenty of water and eat some bread since then, but the sensation remains. Please advise. Thank you
Please dont worry since you are able to swallow and breathe normally!! You are correct in assuming that the sensation is due to an abrasion caused by the bone and will disappear in a day or two. Please avoid spicy food and drink plenty of fluids , you will do fine! If you develop fever , vomiting or difficulty in swallowing , meet your doctor , otherwise dont worry! Take care!
