What Causes Feeling Of Having Hole Inside The Throat Post Sinus Surgery?

I had sinus surgery two years ago. It first after the surgery I felt like I had a lump on the right inside of throat. For the past several months it has felt like there is a hole on the rt inside of my throat. Very painful to drink. Cold fluids are worse than hot. What could it be?
