What Causes Feeling Of Pressure In Head And Migraines?

Hi, my name is Amber and I am 22 years old. For the past few months I have been experiencing a lot of pressure in my head. It often gives me migraines. I saw a optometrist and he said it s damaging my optic nerves and vision and there is significant swelling. I saw a neurologist and he gave me an MRI, that came back completely normal. The optometrist said there is nothing he can do for me because its out of his profession and suggested I go back to the neurologist that told me my brain was fine. Its getting worse, my migraines are daily and the pressure gets so bad my eyes bulge and I can hear blood rushing in my head and makes it hard to hear. My eyes go black sometimes when my head is really pressurized. It didn t start until my pregnancy when I had to be put of 60 mg of Prednizone a day for 8 months. I m not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I know that s when it started.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

HFMD is common in childrens and it can be transmitted to any age groups & Clears up within 7 to 10 days. I advise you to:
- Continue the same medications
- If you get fever, take anti-pyretics and analgesics such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen
- Drink enough fluids to prevent dehydration and cool drinks, ice for soothing mouth ulcers
- Topical ointments like zinc oxide or any soothing lotion to heal blisters
- Also, immuno-globins will be helpful

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
