What Causes Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat While Suffering From Acid Reflux?

I have been diagnosed with acid reflux about a little over a year ago. I had a scope done and they said nothing was there e dept erosion. I am currently taking 20mg of Omeprizole daily. It started out feeling like I had a golf ball lodged in my lower throat. It has since shrunken down to about the size of a dime I would guess, but still will not go away, I am inclined to believe that there is a bigger issue at play. My doctor just dismissed my concern a month ago, saying it was probably just sinus drainage. I also have bad teeth and have been told by other people who are not doctors that it could be related to them. At this point I'm thinking about another scope. I just don't know what to do. Also I do smoke, which I believe is irritating it as well.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain feeling of something struck in throat while diagnosed with acid reflux is not an uncommon finding and the feeling is just due to acid reflux and does not look like Sinusitis..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and if required he can advise you to get another endoscopy done, otherwise it is not needed..
In case if acid reflux is the culprit he can increase the dose of Omeprazole as well as add antacids like Calcium carbonate or milk of magnesia and H2 blockers like Ranitidine..
You can also be advised to avoid spicy food, loose weight if obese, drink plenty of water, add yoghurt to diet, do moderate workout, sleep atleast 2 hours after meals..
Recline on left lateral position as well as keep your head slightly raised while lying down..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
