What Causes Fever And Cough With A Lot Of Sleeping?
I have a 17 yr old that has ran a fever for 4 days no higher then 101 but runs about 99.9 most times has a cough and is sleeping alot . I have heard alot of viral and flu is going around and most are not running ot the doctor what would you suggest i do.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering from fever and cough with a lot of sleeping . The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like Common cold , bronchitis , asthma , acute sinusitis , viral influenza and viral pharyngitis . In your case the symptoms semms to be occur either due to bronchitis or viral influenza . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , chest x-ray and take history . Doctor may prescribe antitussives ( dextromethorphan ) and expectorants along with ani viral drug ( acyclovir ) . For now do warm saline gargles , drink green tea with ginger and keep your self hydrate , drink plenty of water .
