Hi,
The commonest reasons I can think about are as follows:
* The recurrence of fever indicates bacterial infection
* Jaw swelling is most probably due to either lymph node or
salivary gland infection and inflammation
* Infection at other places as seen for
pneumonia,
sinusitis, close cavity abscess like that of liver
* This is the reason for low grade fever
Consult the Doctor again, clinical examination, investigations of blood, urine, X-ray or CT scan of chest and
sinuses. These will help to confirm the diagnosis and thus have an additional treatment. Antibiotics may be needed. Continue
Ibuprofen in proper doses, frequency and duration as per your weight. Specific treatment as per the presentation diagnosed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
