What Causes Fever And Mild Cough After Having A Shoulder Injury?

I was in a motorcycle accident yesterday. A lot of bumps and bruises mostly my main injury is my right shoulder torn acu and possible broken bone I have to return in a week for more X-rays. But now I m running a fever of 100 and have a mild cough the cough is only once in a while

The fever and cough are likely coincidental . They would not be related to an injury to the shoulder.

The pain killers you are currently using for your other injuries may also be useful for the fever ( if paracetamol or an NSAID).

There are medications that may help with the cough.
