What Causes Fever And Red Dots To A 3 Year Old?
3 year old that developed red dots with a fever. Red dots and fever come and go for the last 2 days. Running nose and cough..some what. Child feels better for a time period of hours and then develops these symptoms again. Ibuprofen seems to work for the fever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The symptoms your child are having might be indicative for viral infection associated with rash.
He will get better in a few days. You need to monitor his body temperature, and observe the rash. If the symptoms will get worse, get him checked by a pediatrician.
For the moment, I advise to:
- encourage him to drink more water/tea/juices
- give him Advil for the fever
- take mucolytics if cough is reproductive
- taking antihystamine syrup will also improve congestion
- apply nasal drops to keep his nasal airways open
- do aerosol therapy to help expectorate
