What Causes Fever And Small Lump Behind The Right Ear?

my four year old son has a fever and i just noticed a small lump behind his right ear. he says he is sore and has a head ache. wondering if this is something very serious i should bring him in now for. i have given him tylenol for the fever but it hasnt broken yet.

Hi,
It seems that your son might be having acute infection in ear causing fever and enlarged post auricular lymph nodes.
Give her one course of antibiotic medicine course for 5 days.
Give her anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen for 2-3 days.
Put antibiotic ear drops.
Ok and take care.
