What Causes Fever In Children?

my son is 4 years old he has a temperature on and off going up to 38.8 he also is being sick complaining of a sore neck but points to his throat he has white patches on his tounge and very bad breath he is very drowsey and lies staring at the light and does not blink unless i sit him up. he is walking as though he is stiff and he has started talking with his top lip curled over his top set of teeth. all these symptoms have apeared in the last 2 days.

Hi, the symptoms of fever, throat pain, dizziness episode, difficulty in walking and speech difficulty points towards central nervous system infection probably meningitis. You should immediately admit the child in hospital for investigation and treatment, child will require intravenous antibiotics and CSF examination. Take care.
