What Causes Fever With Itching And Burning In Vagina?

Hello. Sorry this is going to be a bit long. Well, in Nov 2010 I had profuse vaginal discharge for about 2-3 days. On the last day it seemed like pus and smelled really bad. But then I had no discharge or any other symptom till Dec 2010 when I had a clear watery discharge for about 2 days. It wasn't pus like and didn't smell at all.

Then in Jan I had some discharge again so I went to a gynaec. She did a physical examination and wet cytology and said it was just a fungal infection and bacterial infection (I have a history of UTI). I was prescribed one tab of Zocon150 and Clingen to insert for 3 nights and that the infection would be gone. It didn't get better so I went to another doc and she also said it was a fungal infection and prescribed Fas 3 kit, another vaginal suppository and Forcan to be taken twice a week. But the medication gave me a very bad reaction - nausea and headache. Not sure if it was Fas 3 kit or Forcan. The gynaec asked me to consult my family doc. He asked me to stop forcan and take Zocon 150 once a week for a month and apply Candid B and antifungal talcum powder. Simultaneously, I was taking Martifur 100 for UTI for 15 days.

My latest urinalysis and urine culture show that there is no E. Coli anymore. But, i started having a lot of vaginal itching and burning, though not very severe. I've had a few tests - HIV, Australian antigen and syphilis. all negative. One of the gynaecs said I might have BV. I asked my newest doc to send my sample for STD testing for Trich, gonorrhea and chlamydia. She did a physical examination and said there doesn't seem to be any infection. There was no granular discharge either and she said the discharge was pathological. Though she did prescribe B-Cin. now the vaginal discharge had stopped but i still had itching. So, she did an examination again and said the fungal infection was back. So, now I'm taking Norflox 400 (twice a day for 7 days) and Zocon 50 once for 10 days nd applying Candid B thrice a day for 5 days. I do not have itching any more nor do I have vaginal discharge. But, I still feel quite unwell. I get a fever at night and discomfort in vagina -intermittent burning and pain, which I didn''t have at all till 4 days ago. Actually it's not really painful but just feels sore. I'm also constipated and feel very tired. I have a tiny lump on the left side of the neck and I get a recurring pain in my underarms.

The doc is quite certain that I don't have any STI, though she will be doing a HPV test next week. I'm really confused and miserable. I've been suffering for 2 months. My question is - does a fungal infection really take this long to cure because the 1st gynec said it cures in about a week. Why do I get a fever again and again? And, it's normal to lose 1 kg in 10 days right? I suppose i've lost that weight because I have stopped eating junk food and cut down on sugar big time.
