Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Flu Symptoms, Muscle Pain In Neck And Fatigue While Treating Eczema?
Hello. I have been treating eczema on my palms and feet since March of this year. I have never had symptoms of eczema prior to this year. The condition persists, even with topicals from my dermatologist. I ve recently began to feel flu-like symptoms of muscle aches in my upper back and neck, fatigue, and mild shortness of breath. I m wondering if there is more going on that eczema that I should investigate?
I agree that with no prior history of eczema and the onset of new symptoms, you should consider reassessment.
In light of the muscle aches and pains, an assessment by a rheumatologist may be helpful. They would be able to examine you to see if there is any link with the aches and rash.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
