What Causes Fluctuating Bp And Hr After Carotid Stent Procedure?

Ever since a carotid stent procedure on Aug. 31 I have had fluctuating BP and HR. On Oct. 12 I had to have surgery to correct a femoral artery pseudo aneurysm that developed at the site of their puncture into the artery. He, apparently, did another angio down the leg to check it out. Could this have further irritated the situation and how long will it continue. I did not have high BP or Low BP before the procedure and am now on meds to control it.

Hi,
There are few case reports of problems similar to you following Carotid Stenting. But those are all acceptable risks, because its always better to have medications lifetime than having a paralysis or death due to Carotid artery stenosis and embolism.
I advice you not to worry, stick with the drugs and lifestyle modification stuff.

Regards
