What Causes Fluctuations In BP And Pulse Level Along With Headache?

Had a concussion on Friday ( I was hit by a car), ever since I have had a headache. Yesterday my pulse went down to 45 ...I went to ER they told me to stop taking metatoperal (Beta blocker) and told me continue taking Hydroclorithyozid and see my doctor today, which I did. My blood pressure was 184/102 And my pulse was 42, since I am going through workmanship comp he didn t want to get involved. My question is since my pulse and blood pressure are irregular and I have a horrible headache is there something I can do and/or do I need to worry?

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that you might have a cardiac event and you should go for a basic cardiac evaluation. Kindly get an ECG, Echocardiography and Holter ( ambulatory ECG ) for minimum 48 hours and consult back with reports.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
