What Causes Fluctuations In BP Level Despite Having Sciatic Pain?

Hello I ve been having episodes of high blood pressure in the 165 to 110 range and I believe it s due to my sciatic pain. Could this be possible that pain could elevate blood pressure even though I feel fine?I also had high blood pressure last year but got put on a CPAP machine and it was reduced to around 135/85 now it s back up with sciatic pain and I ve been taking ibuprofen thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello sir and welcome.

Well of course pain can increase blood pressure. I would recommend weight loss, reduced physical strenuous activiry and the continued use of NSAIDs like ibuprofen for the management of the sciatic pain.

In the meantime, please monitor your blood pressure so we can keep it well controlled.

Best wishes.
