What Causes Fluctuations In The BP Level?

My friend is 57, African American, over his body mass index and last checked his B/P was 140/91. He has a primary care physician and he shared he would get it down by next visit by weight reduction and exercise! he feels he is not hypertensive because he will get it down, but it fluctuates. He is active, but is not doing any cardiovascular exercises. Although his physician is allowing him to bring his B/P by a specific time, should he be concern that although he lowers his B/P he can t keep it down and he has the classic symptoms?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hypertension is normally caused a silent disease because it is normally not associated with symptoms unless the blood pressure is very very high.

He may, though activity and diet changes be able to bring his blood pressure down since it has only just stepped into high blood pressure range.
He should try to incorporate aerobic exercises into his regimen as you suggested.

I hope this helps
