What Causes Fluid Vaginal Discharge And Abdominal Cramps After Novasure Ablation?
I had the novasure ablation not even a week ago (01/12/16). I am having a watery discharge with odor to it. Is this normal or do I need to see a Dr? I haven t noticed me running a temperature. I do get night sweats and cold chills now and then and sweat very easily. But I also have been having pains in my sides and cramping in my lower abdomen and lower back. Is this all normal with in the first week after having it done?
The watery vaginal discharge with odor in it does not sound to be a normal sequence of Novasuer (endometrial) ablation. There sounds to be some sort of bacterial infection (most likely gram positive bugs) which can present without fever and with chills, pelvic pain. My guidelines at present: - Drink more liquids to prevent secondary bacterial infection - Hygiene care of vagina - avoid prolong use of same tampons - Balanced nutritious diet to combat your immunity level - Avoid sexual intercourse (if active) - Send a culture swab report of the discharge to a pathologist for detailed microbiology examination and further guidelines of therapy - Prescription of antibiotics as cephalosporin, amoxycillin with clavulanic acid or others from your OBGYN
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
