General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your symptoms suggest probable pathology at lumber spine, causing compression on nerve roots that supply foot / ankle area. It needs to be exactly diagnosed and treated optimally to relieve the pressure. This can be by oral anti-inflammatory drug, vitamin B12 / specific physiotherapy exercises to correct spinal position / surgery in few cases. Consult a spinal surgeon for more specific advise.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
