What Causes Foot Pain With History Of Broken Tibia And Fibula?

My 6 year old granddaughter broke her left tibia and fibula just above the ankle last summer while riding her bike. The surgery and casting went well. She was back to walking without crutches by the end of Sep and running and playing again not much later. Lately she has been complaining of foot pain around the heel and arch. Is this normal?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I recommend consulting with her orthopedic surgeon for a physical exam. Some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR, vitamin D plasma levels) are needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
