Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why do I have UTI s so often? This has been going on for 8 to 10 years. I have seen urologists here and Florida, had two procedures looking into my bladder, kidneys are good from recent ultrasound and blood work. Been to contagious disease physicians both in Mi and Fi. Pain starting again right now! Any suggestions-also I have tried so many antibiotics that I had c. Dif-very painful and contagious. Where do I go from here? I am 82 years old and my mother just turned 100 last Nov. I have the gene got RA skipped her. I was hospitalized 9 days last May with congestive heart failure and see my cardiologist again in May. My first time in hospital other than giving birth 3 times. No problem there.
I recommend you to do an uroculture to determine the kind of organism which is causing these frequent infections and which antibiotics work best on it.Also you can include in your diet cranberry juice or tea. Also apply good general hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
