What Causes Frequent Lying And Sudden Blankness When Diagnosed With Drug-induced Dementia?
my mom has been diagnosed with chemical induced dementia she is following me around the house constantly also sometimes just stops and stares in the middle of the dining room looking in living room like she is stuck also she has been diagnosed with small vessel disease why is she following me all day and all night its driving me crazy and its like she does not know what to do Also she lies a lot almost seems to me like intentionally wants to hurt my feeling and put me in a bad mood then she feels better
Unfortunately dementia problems are often hard to face especially for the family members. You need to be psychologically strong. Don't take it as personal as it is not. We do not know what's happening to her mind, she doesn't know either. That's why should not take it personal, and keep consulting with her psychiatrist in order to evaluate her everyday changes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
