Hello Welcome in H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding green phlegm from throat after 5 days of rhinoplasty operation. No doubt green coloured phlegm in indicative of infection but in operations of nose and paranasal sinuses, we are applying nasal packings may be of merocoel or gauge to stop oozing of blood and to avoid synechia formation. Some times blood soaked in these packing material gets infected and gives such phlegm which quickly disappears as we remove the packing. Therefore need not to worry about phlegm. On the other hand if it is from your nose tissue than in that case there will be severe pain in nose with fever. I will suggest you to please consult your surgeon and be tension free.
