Hello doctor , My son age is 15 months now. From last 4 days he is having green gum motions . We consulted Dr and he is suggested to use some syrups and he told due to stomach infection . After using syrups still not controlled . Could you please advise us ?
- Take diet rich in multivitamins and avoid any oily sharp and fast food.
- For now eat light and non spicy food.
- Eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana.
- Take diet rich in fibres.
You should consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may perform endoscopy to find out proper cause and can start treatment accordingly. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole, omeprazole along with loperamide.

Hi Dear, Welcome to HCM. Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of green sticky stools which seems to be due to lactose intolerance. It could be due to malabsorption syndrome and gastroenteritis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to - Take plenty of fluids to re-hydrate. - Take diet rich in multivitamins and avoid any oily sharp and fast food. - For now eat light and non spicy food. - Eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. - Take diet rich in fibres.
