What Causes Green Vaginal Discharge While On Biotin?
Hello Dr. Im 25 years old female virgin and not sexually active. I noticed today that i have very light green discharge, thick and abundant that came out today , no itching and no smelling .I started biotin 5000mcg twice a day and priorin for my hair loss 3 days ago ?Is there any relation between the vaginal discharge and my biotin intake? Im very worried ! Should i stop biotin? Is it smthg serious? How to cure it ? Thank you
Hi, Its highly unlikely that biotin is the reason for your vaginal discharge. Though there are reports of vaginal discharge in people taking biotin, the association is not established and it occurs in less than 0.5% of individuals. Many of them may be unrelated to medication use. I would recommend you to consult a gynaecologist if the greenish discharge continues or if you get itching, burning or any other symptoms. I wouldn't stop the biotin in my patients. I hope the above information helps you. Thank you writing into healthcaremagic. Have a wonderful day.
