Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Have been on antibiotics 3 times the last 4 months (for things ranging from strep to uti s). About a week and a half ago I started having light green vaginal discharge (with a bit of light spotting...which has since ceased). Wondering if is a sign of a yeast infection or vaginal infection?
Your symptoms are suggestive of Trichomoniasis. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a parasite. Though the infection is not serious, without proper treatment it can recur. It is advised for you and your partner to take the treatment. Repeated infections as you mentioned especially urinary tract infection could suggest diabetes. Please do get your blood sugar checked and consult a physician if found abnormal.
