What Causes Hard Lump Above The Incisor Post Eyelid Surgery?
Two days after eye lid surgery, I developed a hard lump above my left incisor. It does not hurt, but it is large enough to be sensitive when my tongue touches it. I have been under a great deal of stress lately. Would that have anything to do with this?
I can understand your concern. A hard lump over the incisor area cannot be related to the eye surgery or stress. It could be an abscess or cyst due to infection in the incisor. If you have injured your tooth years ago, probably in childhood, then also the dead tooth may react with development of such swelling.
I recommend that you should see a dentist for the clinical examination of the swelling and incisor tooth. You will also have to go for an x-ray of the area for diagnosis. It this will be a cyst, you will have to go for root canal treatment of the incisor tooth along with surgical eradication of the cyst. In case of an abscess, it may require drainage along with root canal treatment of the incisor.
I hope this information helps you. Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
