What Causes Headache And Nasal Congestion After Inhaling Mild Fragrance?
Some people in my office notice a sweet smell that gives them a headache and nasal congestion. It comes in the afternoon. The ducts have been cleaned and no visible signs of irritants in the environment. It also cause throat irritation. Any suggestions of the culprit?
Understanding your concern. As per query you have headache and nasal congestion after inhaling mild fragrance . The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to sinusitis , viral pharyngitis , allergic rhinitis or strep throat. But in your case the symptoms are probably due to allergic reaction due to fragrance. I would suggest you to again consult your ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may perform laryngoscopy or biopsy to confirm diagnosis . He/she may prescribe further antibiotic course and antibiotics. For now take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl, take ibuprofen (if not allergic) or paracetamol for pain and avoid fragnance .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
