What Causes Headache, Fatigue, Coughing Green And Bloody Mucus?

Hello! It's my third day without a voice. I felt fine the first day and a half, then the evening of the second day I started feeling fatigued and getting chills. The third day (today), I've had a splitting headache, feeling fatigued and have been coughing up green and bloody mucus. No fever, though. Female. 5'8 156lbs. 31 yrs old.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Laryngitis is inflammation of the larynx which then results in hoarseness. There are different possible causes but based on your additional symptoms, it is likely that you have a respiratory tract infection. Viral infections are more common than bacterial.

Treatment consist of :(1)resting your voice

(2)use enough fluids

(3)gargles may help relieve any throat discomfort. Examples are aspirin, chloroseptic, covonia

(4)parcetamol for the headache and fever

(5)a mucolytic would help to break up the mucus in the chest so it comes up easier. Examples are : mucomyst, robutussin, bisolvan

I hope this helps
