What Causes Headache, Nausea And Blurred Vision With History Of Elevated BP?

I have a headache, nausea and my eyes are blurry. BP 156/136, although I think the BP cuff may not be working. I took it again 142/112. I started Lisinopril on Tues. 10mg. I also take Wellbutrin 450 XL and Adderall 30mg. Ive been on the Wellbutrin for years and the Adderall for several months. I took another 10 mg Lisinopril about 1/2 hour ago (at the advisement of the MD on call), but BP still 140/112...not much change.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache, nausea and blurred vision with history of elevated BP . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query acute stress , high blood pressure , diabetes, type 2 , excessive caffeine use , stroke and transient ischemic attack . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may check vitals , order ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe calcium channel blockers along with blood thinners and diuretics .
