What Causes Headache, Sore Throat, Neck Pain And Mild Fever?

I have had a head ache sore throat aching neck and also hurts my throat when lift my tongue for the last 7 days with no improvements, my tonsils don t look enlarged. Can you give me any information of what this can be? I have had a slight temp every now and then also. Thanks

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of sore throat, headache,neck pain and mild temperature rise are due to viral infection leading to the above symptoms..

As it is a viral infection it will not resolve with antibiotics as the antibiotics acts against bacteria and not viruses..

The infection will however resolve once the virus will complete its cycle in human body..
As of now you can start with supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like:

-Take a combination of Acetaminophen [fever reducer] and Ibuprofen [anti inflammatory painkiller] to relieve fever and sore throat..

-Do warm saline gargles,steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..

-Suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet..

-You should take a semisolid diet, plenty of fluids and appropriate rest..

In case of no relieve in a week consult a General Physician and get her evaluated..
