General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, he may need paediatrician review and get his upper limbs sensory examination done. In such kids it's less likely to be neurological cause like cervical spondylosis or any nerve compression but local neurological involvement like herpes etc may cause burning sensation. Local skin conditions should also be ruled out.

He may be needed to be evaluated for any vitamin deficiencies like B12 and folic acid evaluation and replacement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
