Last night I cooked some steak that might have been slightly tainted. After that, I took a swig of Port wine. The wine very quickly hit my head, giving me a dull head ache and a feeling like I don t want to do any difficult mind work. The amount I drank was only the amount in 1-2 shot glasses, just a taste treat. I also felt slightly sick to my stomach from what I had eaten. My pulse went up 50% from about 62 to 108, then down to the 90s all day today until evening. Now, it is 83. Normal for me is in the high 50s to low 60s even if I m not in shape. I also have had a blood pressure problem. We are on a 2-week company shutdown. I ve gotten off caffeine. My blood pressure went high on days 3 and four during withdrawal. Now, it is down to 131/83 which is what I expected to happen, and I expect it to go lower. This may seem rambling, but I wanted to include everything that may be a contributing factor. I have noticed over the last year that any amount of alcohol hits my head really hard, but I ve never had it combined with feeling sick to my stomach before. I am coming out of the mental malaise now. I figure it could be an allergic reaction to the wine, upset stomach from bad meat (I also have diverticulosis), or, God forbid, a TIA. What do you think?
