What Causes Headaches And Light Headedness While On Metoprolol?

My blood pressure is 155/77 , pulse 77. I am a 52 year old , overweight female, treated with low dose 25 mg metoprolol. I am getting a headache and felt a little lightheaded earlier and have had a slight flutter in my throat which caused be to caugh sever times.

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Metoprolol can cause headache, light headedness.
However these are less common side effects.
Hypertension (155/77) don't cause headache and light headedness.
I would like to advise you to take Advil.
Do mentle relaxation excersize like Yoga and Meditation.
