Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing ongoing headaches for 5 days. My sleep is interrupted and I am taking regular panadol and iboprufen with only temporary effect. I have a sore neck and some body aches. Sometimes have the sniffles but couldn t really say I have a cold. This is very unusual as I rarely get sick or get headaches. Should I see my GP? I feel a bit of a hypochondriac but also a little concerned.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per your complain you have problem of headache that may be because of lack of sleep or tension problem. Tension cause tight band like hradache and many trigger points. Over use of alcohol drinking and smoking may aggravate a condition. Low blood sugar level also cause headache problem. Mention a intensity and duration of pain with aggravating factor. Detail history and physical examination give exact idea. CT scan and MRI can be done for further diagnosis. Consult a neurologist for further diagnosis.
I hope my guidance is helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care. Thank you.
Regards, Dr. Rachana Goswami
