What Causes Headaches With Elevation In BP Level Despite On Lisinopril?
My blood pressure is running 165 to 175 over 90-95. My Dr s office is having me take it daily and charting it and will call me at the end of the week. Should we be more concerned than that. I am presently taking amolidopine & lisinopril 10 mg for several years, which regulated it until about 6 months ago, when they put me on Metformin for my diabetes. I have been having some slight headaches since this change in BP happened.
Most persons do not have symptoms related to high blood pressure at this level, it can cause silent problems, but everyone is different. Since your medication is not controlling the blood pressure, it would need to be altered when you see your doctor at the end of the week.
He or she may choose to add on a diuretic to help with fluid and salt loss since excess fluid/salt is one of the main reason for uncontrolled blood pressure. Eg hctz
I hope this helps
