Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. The symptoms of
nausea, visual blurring, headache and
tiredness immediately after injury could be due to reaction to hit and pain. These symptoms usually resolve in few minutes to hours in case of mild
head injury. Headache may persist for few days at injury site.
If above symptoms persist even after taking medication or persist for few days, it is serious. Other alarming signs are
: vomiting
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: loss of consciousness
: seizures
: onset of new focal deficit
If you are having any of above signs, you should consult ER as soon as possible. You might be advised
CT scan of head
For headache and swelling, you can take
:
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: Apply icepacks at injury site
: Keep your head at higher level than chest
: avoid pressure at injury site
I think it will help you. Take care. Thanks.
