Hello,
Thank you for your query.
It seems that she may have
cervical spondylosis.to rule out
rheumatoid arthritis as well
I would :
- get a detailed medical, personal and family history
- clinically examine her thoroughly with focus on neuromuscular system
-run blood tests (
complete blood count, Esr,
rheumatoid factor, auto immune profile, calcium levels, Thyroid profile)
- get an x-ray /MRI of the spine if indicated
Based on the above results and findings, I would advice relevant treatment.
I recommend that she see a physician to check for these.
In the meantime, I recommend
- rest.
- ice compresses (ice wrapped in a thin cloth) Ober the affected areas
- avoid activities that worsen the pain (cutting, chopping etc)
-avoid hot/warm baths or massaging the area intensely.
-anti inflammatory
ointments and tablets after consulting physician.
Hope this helps.
Wish you both good health.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
