What Causes Heavy Bleeding After 4 Weeks Of Abortion?
had medical ab 4 weeks ago and had ultrasound 2weeks later. told uterus was normal no more pregnancy bleeding has persisted. now 4 weeks after medical abortion and am bleeding heavily today told I have delayed bleeding syndrome after abortion. what is that? was given medicine to stop the bleeding
Hello dear, I understand your concern. In my opinion ultrasound done after medical abortion rules out any remnant products of conception. A normal ultrasound ensures that the abortion is complete and it is confirmatory. And moreover there was no irregular spotting or bleeding post abortion which also suggests complete abortion. So now bleeding after 4 weeks after medical abortion mostly suggests your period. Slight alteration of period bleeding might be there after pregnancy termination. Nothing to worry. Its good that it is controlled by medicine. Check for your next period. Hope this helps. Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
