Hi, I recently began having heavy bleeding, more than usual. I thought my period ended a week or two ago by the just 2 or 3 days ago, I began bleeding heavily with large clots. I don t have a ton of corresponding pain except for a few cramps and some lower back pain. I don t know what to do. Do I wait until I stop bleeding to see an obgyn? Do I go to the emergency room? I m just really freaked out by the amount of blood. Any answers or suggestions would be very helpful.
Conditions like endometriosis and PCOS can caused similar symptoms. As a first line management you can take drugs like Trenaxa to control bleeding. If symptoms persist better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. An ultrasound abdomen is required for further assessment.
